Inform Solutions was formed in 2003 in response to the need for Maximo expertise provided within a model of personalized, valued, and accountable service. Each of the 5 founders had worked within and alongside larger consulting firms that had over promised to the client and under-delivered. Their consulting bench was expected to deliver on unrealistic timelines, change request the client to deal with low ball effort estimates, live within the firms bloated and inefficient project hierarchy, and be evaluated to internal growth targets that conflicted with the best interests of the client. So we came together collectively to do things differently. Over the years our firm has expanded and contracted based on the needs of our clients.
For the past few years Craig and I have led our client relationships with support from trusted subcontracted colleagues with deep experience in areas such as reporting, training, and infrastructure. We appreciate and value the long term relationships with clients across industries in BC. At the end of each day, we can honestly say we have tried to maximize value for the client, provide best practice solutions, leveraged innovation, and not focused on billable hours. I take personal satisfaction when staff at a client site become self sufficient through the sharing of our knowledge, resources, and lessons learned. When a Maximo solution at a client site heads sideways (due to the latest MS update, hardware failure, IBM software defect, or use case we did not expect) – we roll our sleeves up and work closely as equal partners with our client’s group and IBM technical support until the problem is solved. This is the accountability and personal commitment that we bring as consulting partners.
We have come to know Jeff Seaward and Maintenance Group Inc. (MGI) through the Canadian Maximo user group conferences. Jeff and the rest of the group at MGI share our approach to consulting. Like us, they have been doing Maximo work for 15+ years. Practically, they are all senior level consultants with many Maximo projects under their belt. And like us, they thrive on the challenge of getting it figured out in the right way. They are committed to the IBM Maximo community in Canada through CANMUG. So earlier this year we spoke about developing a working partnership focused on providing customers with the same ‘personalized, valued, accountable’ range of Maximo services that was our starting point @ Inform Solutions. And it is working. We have brought MGI into a few projects over the 2 months where their expertise in clustered architectures and highly secure SSL access is making a difference for the client.
We formed this partnership to enhance the range of service provider options for Canadian companies with Maximo based EAM solutions. We are a large enough team of 11 consultants to offer the required range of skills and industry experience, and a small enough group to collectively and consistently deliver on our shared ethic of personal, accountable, and valued consulting services.
Are you looking for more personalized, affordable, and accountable senior level Maximo consulting support? Let’s connect for a first conversation.
We look forward to hearing about your Maximo journey, diving into your questions, and then seeing if there is a fit between your needs and the expertise that consultants in our group can bring to your Maximo team. Look forward to connecting.
